UANI Times Square Billboard Thanks Senator Menendez for Principled Stand Against Iran Deal

New York, NY - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) today announced the launch of a Times Square billboard thanking New Jersey Senator Robert Menendez for his principled opposition to the Iran nuclear agreement, formally called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

The 29-by-56 foot digital billboard reads: "Thank You Senator Menendez for Your Principled Leadership, Standing Strong for Our Security, and Opposing the Iran Nuclear Deal."

Speaking about the billboard, UANI CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace said:

We thank Senator Menendez for his principled opposition to the Iran nuclear deal. Senator Menendez has long been a leader in confronting the Iranian nuclear threat and his position sends a powerful signal to others that the Iran nuclear deal falls far short of its goals. Americans across the political spectrum want elected officials to rise above partisanship and do what they think is best for our country ---   and Senator Menendez has done that. Senator Menendez deserves respect and appreciation for his stance, and not the withering personal attacks that have unfortunately followed principled actions like his. The Iran deal should be supported or opposed purely on its merits. Attacks on someone's integrity or character should have no place in this critical American national security debate.

The digital billboard is located in Times Square on the facade of 1500 Broadway, a skyscraper located at the corner of Broadway and West 43rd Street.

On August 11, UANI began using the digital billboard to thank New York Senator Chuck Schumer for his principled opposition to the agreement. On August 26, UANI then began using the digital billboard to thank New York Representatives for opposing the Iran deal.
