UANI Resources on the Geneva Interim Agreement and Ongoing Nuclear Negotiations

The Geneva interim agreement between the P5+1 and Iran is set to expire July 20. Since the outset of the agreement, formally referred to as the Joint Plan of Action ("JPA"), United Against Nuclear Iran has provided analysis and research demonstrating that the JPA is disproportionate in favor of Iran.

Prior to the JPA, UANI also developed analysis and research to demonstrate that the depiction of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his foreign policy team as a moderate force representing substantive change in Iranian regime behavior was false.

The following resources provide in-depth analysis of the Geneva interim agreement and the Rouhani presidency in the run-up to the accord's conclusion on July 20.

United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) Statements on the Joint Plan of Action (JPA)

The following UANI statements, analysis and testimony address the JPA, particularly in relation to Iran's nuclear commitments, the regime's receipt of disproportionate sanctions relief, and the Obama administration's pledges to maximally enforce sanctions.

Research and Resources

UANI Geneva Interim Agreement Tracker

UANI has been methodically tracking how the JPA is impacting the Iranian economy and how the respective parties to the JPA are implementing their commitments.

Rouhani's Record in Office

UANI has been monitoring the day-to-day actions of the Iranian regime to determine if the Iranian regime is changing its dangerous and threatening behavior. Optimism in some circles has been encouraged by a change in rhetoric and tone from Rouhani and other senior regime figures, but are words being matched by actions? This resource shows that the Iranian President's words diverge sharply from the actions his government has taken. The nuclear program continues to advance, military intervention to uphold the Assad regime in Syria goes on unabated, and the human rights situation in Iran has deteriorated with a new wave of repression.

UANI Rouhani Accountability Tracker

UANI tracks day-to-day developments in Iran under the Rouhani administration in relation to the regime's (1) nuclear program (2) anti-Americanism (3) support for the Assad regime in Syria (4) human rights abuses, and (5) state sponsorship of terrorism.
