UANI Applauds Huntsman for Its Decision to Stop Doing Business in Iran

New York, NYUnited Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) today applauded Huntsman Corporation for its decision to stop doing business in Iran.

UANI, on November 23, 2009, called on Huntsman to end it business dealings in Iran.  On January 23, 2010, Huntsman Corporation announced that its foreign subsidiaries will end their business dealings in Iran.

Responding to the decision, UANI President Ambassador Mark D. Wallace said "We thank the Huntsman Corporation for its decision to sever its business ties in Iran. Two months ago, UANI called on Huntsman to end its dealings in Iran.  Huntsman's announcement sends a clear message that responsible companies will not do business in Iran.  Huntsman's decision is another wake up call to those businesses here in the United State that continue to do business in Iran."

UANI maintains on its website the Iran Business Registry (IBR), a list of companies that have been reported to do business in Iran.  UANI calls on all companies to cease doing business in Iran.  By signing UANI's Iran Business Declaration, companies can certify publicly that they do not conduct business in Iran.
